3 Meals in 1!

This Saturday {4/26} we will be selling fresh whole chickens which have been naturally raised on pasture.  Many new clients ask why we sell the chickens whole rather than selling chicken breasts, legs, thighs, etc.  We believe that by offering whole chickens we are offering a better product to our clients.  When we cook a whole chicken we actually get three meals out of each one {cook once, eat thrice? Yes please!} It is also more economical {cheaper} to buy a whole chicken than to purchase only certain parts.

Here's how we like to prepare them.  Robert breaks down the chicken {if you're not sure about this step watch the below video}.

We cook the chicken breasts and tenderloins for supper {meal 1}.  We then take the remaining bones & meat and make a large pot of stock {meal 2}. After the stock is strained we use the remaining meat to make chicken salad or chicken & rice, etc. {meal 3}.  Since one chicken goes a long way, we end up with 3 healthy meals from one healthy chicken! Order yours today! Contact us here or send us an email to reserve your bird!

This is where I {erin} will throw in some thoughts, what we’re learning and what’s coming out of our beautiful mess of a life and mess of a sewing room.
