We've accumulated so much that I have actually been trying to avoid yard sales this summer. But Saturday was one of my favorite church yard sales and I could not resist. It was a fun one with some unique items. Among my favorites was this large chicken waterer {$2}. Which I would love to repurpose into something fun and creative but for now we will likely use it to {you guessed it} water the chickens.
When I wondered into the book room and saw this {$1} gem standing amongst the piles and I couldn't resist. I first grabbed it thinking it would be the greatest white elephant gift at any Christmas party. But the more I flipped through it the more I realized it is a great conversation piece for the coffee table {and that's where it must take up residence at least for a time}.
Before Fort Mill was the perfect place for a short CLT commute, better schools & lower taxes it was a dot on the map only because of the Bakkers. I never saw the ministry side of PTL but was always thankful for the perks; I spent many summer days at the water park {pictured bottom center} and loved seeing the Christmas lights every year! The downfall was sad but this book is such a unique reminder of a portion of Fort Mill's history {and provides good humor by way of hairstyles & makeup}! Do you remember the good ol' days of Heritage?
I did pick up some flowerpots and notions for the sewing room but these two were by far my greatest finds this Saturday. Did you score anything good at a sale this weekend?
