Yogurt is an incredible snack.  Providing good bacteria and calcium, it's great to reach for anytime you need a little something.  Robert prefers to make his own yogurt so we thought we'd share his recipe with you.  It's pretty simple and yields a little over 4 quarts of yogurt.
What you'll need:

1 gal. Organic whole milk
1 c. Organic plain yogurt
1/2 c. Raw Honey

Large pot
Thermometer
Food dehydrator {optional}
Measuring cups
Spoon/spatula
Containers/mason jars

  1. Scald milk to 185°F. Let cool to about 120°F. {be sure to stir/scrape the milk as it scalds so as not to burn it}

  2.  Add yogurt and mix well. Hold at 110-115°F for          8-10 hrs (we do this in our food dehydrator).

  3.  Remove from heat and, before adding any              ingredients, remove a cup of the plain                      yogurt to save for making your next batch.

  4.  Add any ingredients you would like while still          warm. We use our local honey to sweeten it            {1/2c honey per 1gal yogurt}.

  5.  Cool and store in the refrigerator.

That's it! Enjoy & let us know how it turns out!

Thank you for sharing this with. I also never thought you could make an organic yogurt with a dehydrator. Who wouldn't love the combination of honey, milk, and plain yogurt.
